- You will be required to fast at least 6 hours before your surgery.
- Where possible, you will be advised to stop taking any medications that can thin your blood, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, for at least a few days prior to your treatment.
- Appendix removal is performed inpatient and will require you to be warded for at least 1-3 days in the hospital for observation.
- Inform our doctor before the procedure of any medication or supplements you take.
Post-Appendix Removal Care
- Downtime: You may resume normal activities after 2 weeks. You may be discharged 1-3 days after surgery.
- Avoid strenuous activity for at least four to six weeks to allow the incision to heal properly.
