What Is Burping / Excessive Gas?
Burping, also known as belching, is the release of gas from the stomach through the nose and mouth. Burping is a normal bodily function and usually happens after eating or drinking. However, some people experience frequent or excessive burping, which can indicate an underlying medical condition. Excessive gas can also be caused by swallowing air, certain foods and drinks, and anxiety.
